Anita Pittoni Tomb
Not to die alive.
The title of a small collection of verses by Anita Pittoni sums up the forcefulness and determination of the Trieste poet, writer, fashion designer and publisher who lived her relationship with art as a mission. In her Diary from 1944- 1945, we read: “If my inspiration is so high as to need the randomness of my death to materialise, I will determine my own death. Others will shape my inspiration into creation”.
